NEBRA is pleased to be able to award grants supporting New England Bicycle Racing. Our guidelines for grants are simple: funds must support bicycle racing in New England and not unfairly benefit an individual rider, team, or club. We may, however, fund European travel for NE athletes who have been invited to certain exclusive camps or events. Those submitting grant applications should assume there are limited financial resources and that over time the funds may be reduced or not renewed. We provide support to new races, moto refs, junior development, women’s racing development, along with other programs.
To apply for a grant, please email president@nebra.us and include the following:
1) A detailed description of the program and how it benefits New England bicycle racing.
2) Explain how it benefits the entire New England racing community without unfairly benefitting one rider, team, or club.
3) A detailed intended accounting of how the funds will be used.
Please allow several weeks for us to evaluate the application. We are a volunteer board and at times things take a bit longer than they should. Expect to supply a detailed post event accounting for the funds. No funds will be disbursed without all USAC appropriate paperwork being submitted.
If in doubt about the appropriateness of the grant application, make it anyway. We will consider all applications.
